Find us on Facebook

As you will see, though relatively small in size, with fewer than 200 members, we offer a considerable range of interest groups and activities, drawing as they do, on the skills, abilities, knowledge and experience of our members. We are also small enough to be as friendly as we are informative so it is not difficult to meet and get to know people should you wish to.

We are fortunate in having an excellent place, with good parking facilities, in which to meet: the Church Hall of Trinity with Palm Grove Church, Oxton, CH43 1UZ; situated on the corner of Beresford Road and Alton Road.

Members who wish gather there every two weeks throughout the year, alternating between a broadly social gathering and listening to a wide and interesting range of speakers.

The ‘Third Age’ aspect of our title refers to people who, in general, have sufficient time and leisure to be able to join in our activities should they wish to. There is plenty of scope for differing degrees of participation. Members with new ideas and interests are very welcome to enrich the texture and content of our gatherings. This is a dynamic process in a constant state of evolution.

We are always happy to show people round. Any two general meetings may be attended without commitment and should you wish to join us we will be delighted to welcome you as a member. I speak here from personal experience as I joined this very U3A, only a year or two ago, not knowing a single person who was already in it.
