 Our main meetings
are held fortnightly throughout the year, except for
breaks at Christmas and school Summer holidays, on Thursday
mornings from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. Our meetings start
with refreshments and a social gathering until 10:30 am.
During this time members have the opportunity to find out
what is on offer in the way of meetings, theatre visits,
outings and walks, and to socialize with their friends. We
have a programme of speakers, which is published on this
website, at one meeting per month. At the alternate meeting
we will have either a talk given by one of our members, or a
presentation given by one of our special interest groups.
Occasionally we have panel games with both committee and
non-committee members taking part or a quiz. We try to
arrange something different and entertaining for each of
these social mornings. Why not come and see if you like us?
Prospective members are welcome to join us as a visitor for
two meetings before making the commitment to join us.
Membership of our U3A costs £15.00 per year, and an
admission fee of £2.00 is charged at each meeting to cover
the cost of the Hall and refreshments.
